It's still happening. I noticed a few tv channels are now saying winter break for some of the shows.Who actually tries to get people from saying Merry Christmas? Didn't that movement peak in like... the 90's? Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Festive Yule, Happy Solstice, Terrifying Krampusnacht, Happy last night of Chanukah, etc, I'm down for any reason to party and warm up during the frickin' freezin' end of the year.

An even more funny point is well over half the people that say Merry Christmas don't even mean it in a religious way. They mean it with santa and presents. In some cases, people need to get over being offended so easily. No one says Merry Christmas maliciously, it's a positive thing to say. I don't see it as a threat to groups with differing beliefs.
Heck I'm an atheist and I say merry Christmas and don't take offense to it at all. I love the holiday cheer and joy. All of the thankfulness and wonderful people, it makes life great
Merry Christmas MFK
Other than neighbors, who you most likely would know what they celebrate, how would it be obvious?
