just wanted to know if there is a mesh cast net, non-mono filament (sp). I'm going to be using it for collecting smaller fish to keep, but figured the fishing forum would be the best bet for finding out any info. I've tried googling, but I'm not even sure what words to search.

thanks in advance for any help.

i had one that was ancient, id just do 1/4in mesh.

bro you live in florida and you wanna net cast :grinno: it's illegal to do so be carefull

only illegal to net game fish.
ya they have "cloth fabric?" ones.they cost alot.
i think they also have mono nets that have small mesh.
tried a seine net?or a shrimp net on a 6' pole?
look in the photo lounge for "went out netting" parts 123 and 4
i caught all that with a shrimp net. :D

a gentleamn I work with just moved back to the northeast 20yr's after moving to florida . he is one of the most hardcore fisherman I've meet . we have talk about fishing all the time . net casting for anytype of fish is ILLEGAL!! reason being there is no garuntee that you will not net a fingerling bass etc.

If it was illegal you wouldn't be able to go to the local walmart and but a net.
