Here's the third thread from our October 2006 trip.

Besides fishing in THE PREMIERE LOCATION for peacock bass, the experience seeing things I have never seen before and just soaking up that that part of the World is like and being fortunate enough to experience a trip like that was TRULY SPECIAL . I don't have any still images because of their fleeting glimpses but have video of monkeys and river otters and wild boar...macaws and toucans...freshwater dolphin and other wildlife!!! The trip was TRULY AMAZING!!

Below are various "nature" pictures...just the views that we experienced every day in that Special Place. You'll see a leaf-cutter ant, a kingfisher and a stingray...as in "Steve Irwin Stingray" which we were told might be one of THE MOST dangerous things in the jungle that were were likely to encounter. When we waded or swam in the river, the camp employees MADE CERTAIN there were no stringrays in area.

You'll see our guide paddling down these "secret passages" to landlocked lagoons. You'll see the woodchopper lure rippin' through the water. You'll also see the guide with a MACHETE which was needed OFTEN to get through these passages...and you'll see the machete being used to get my father's lure out of a tree!!

You'll also see just beautiful views of sunsets, the jungle, rainclouds, caymans, a banana boat, sunsets and sunrises.

Enjoy...

Scott
PS. FORGIVE me but a couple of the pictures uploaded side-ways (has something to do with the photo EXIF info or something) so you'll have to tlit your head to see
