Grew mid out in a 75 gal , but moved and I kept them in a 150 gal tank, temps in the mid to upper 70s, pH 7.8, and did every other day 30-40% water changes.
Fed a high in spirulina pellet, photos on the 1st page of this thread.

Yea mine are 2.5 3 inch right now literally just came today in quarantine right now but they have their own 200 waiting. I'm sure their most likely omnivorous. Will be attempting pellets for sure. I'll try and get some pics once their settled but they are beautiful fish. My fishroom maintains around 78 and my ph is like 7.2 7.4 ish so well see how they do in time. Knowledge on these is def scarce tho.

Just picked up 10 fish sold as ornatum today, they are around 2” - I’ll post pictures when i get home. Hopefully they turn out awesome like pictures/videos I’ve been drooling over for yrs.

You know it - at the durkin parking lot swap - woowoo.. I thought there would be at least a couple tables of other people but I’m not complaining - got festae/haitiensis and these. Did i get h turquoise from you?

I know who it is - i have a group of 2m/3f that breed pretty often but there doesn’t seem to be any demand for them around here. I’ve seen a bunch of your add’s in the past to, always nice fish for a good price.

Pictures of the first day in the tank - it’s a 40b with a couple rainbows who decided to spawn while i was out picking up the ornatum. They’ll be moving into a 75 once i move some fish along.

Moved the fish to a 75g over the weekend and took some more pictures - at this point they travel around the tank in a school which is kinda cool to watch - I’m sure that will change at some point.
