I have an oscar in a 55 with a senegal bichir , they get along and I know the tank is small for these fish to be together but i really keep on the tank maintenance I do about a 10-15 WC every 3 days and clean the glass and sand but my oscar is really messy and spits food everywhere and I was wondering if adding 2 cory at fish would over load the bioload which I know is on the edge. I was wondering if my oscar would swallow them up considering their small size

i think it would be too risky. if the oscar can get them in his mouth the corys pec and dorsal fins will jab him and could possibly be fatal. too risky for both species in my opinion.

I totally agree. What kind of filtration do you have? May need to upgrade.

I have a hang on the back for a 60-70 gallons water flow comes from either side of the intake tube ( there is two large sponges on either side so i'm sure it allows lots of good bacteria to grow there), I'm thinking about getting a canister though. I never thought of the dorsal fins thanks for the adivice guys :)

Also it will help if you can change out 50% of the water with every water change, not just 10-15 gallons.

Actually a canister won't really help as much as getting a larger mechanical filter... such as an aquaclear 110. Not to mention they are much easier to do quick cleaning on!

He already got hang on the back fltere, I was thinking to use canister with his orig. filter
as supplement. Don't know about 50% every 3 days though, maybe 30-40%

Wondering about size of the oscar right now?

depends on the size of your fish and how much your feeding but i also don't think 50% is needed. won't hurt but i don't think its needed. i currently do 15-20 gallons weekly on my 75 which has a 5" oscar with a lot of other fish and my nitrates never go over 20ppm. only way to tell for sure is to watch the nitrates of your 55.
