metal halide light

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hmm. what are the dimensions of your tank? seems like overkill to me - 400 watts on a 40gal? you could burn your livestock. plus overheating the water would be easy with that amount of power.

yeh plus guppies sux. and thats too much

#3 if you have the means.. halides are generally considered the maximum type of lighting so that 150W (which i have over my 29 which is a taller tank) is going to work just fine MAYbe if you wanted a 250 could work, but i'd take care in acclimating your corals to the light, starting them at the bottom and moving them up slowly
