metal halides or compact florecents

compacts all the way ive never used metal halide and my corals are fine. halide lights are going to make u add water every 30 min because they ru so hot.

Ditto, Mh's are way overkill for a 10 g.
I'm running 2 -400w 10K Mh's w/ 4-55 w PC actinics on my 75 reef, i add 3 gallons of top off water a day,,,
Keep a lot of Acro corals,and the like,
And the Mh's save the furnace from running that often in the winter,,,LOL
(don't ask about the elect. bill :22_yikes: )
