Does anyone else use the salt trick in their drip coffee? Saw it on Good Eats and was shocked, but tried a pinch and there is a noticeable different.

no I HAVE heard that it takes the acid out of coffee is it true

It definitely took an edge off the bitterness. I'd imagine it wouldn't do much if you drink lighter roasts like breakfast blends or don't make it strong. I make mine really strong and use really dark roasts, so it was quite the difference.

Just two shakes, since we don't have loose salt to do a pinch. Just on top of the grounds before letting the pot do it's thing.
