GEORGIA NEEDS FISH STORES TO BE RECOMMENDED!

I have been very happy with two stores on the north side of Atlanta:

Got my current nice-sized lady jag cichlid from these guys. Their marine inverts displays are IMMACULATE.

Premier Aquatics

And further north, Optimum Aquarium is very quickly winning me over. They frequently have 9"+ large freshwater fish (JDs, oscars, gars, RTCs, pike cichlids, knifefish) in their freshwater section. And they said the magic words to me more than once: "He isn't for sale. He's not ready yet."

Exotic Fish and Pet moved from Hadley to Southampton. They are an awesome fish store. I would also mention "School of Fish" in Springfield MA. They have a real nice selection and are pretty knowledgeable.

Okay....so I'm visiting Lansing this week for work, I swung by a place called Preuss Pets.....incredible. There is not a store in the entire state of Utah that can even claim to be in the same industry as that place!! Simply awesome!

Cant believe this place was overlooked. Good selection, 9 times in 10 you deal with the owner directly, very knowledgeable, prompt service, prices generally 20% or more below similar stores in the area. Specializing in freshwater fish--especially the rare and monstrous, but also a good selection of saltwater fish, inverts including coral, small mammals, reptiles, bugs and pond fish and plants. Dry goods are adequate, live food is offered. Located in the plaza on the North West corner of M-59 and Duck Lake Road. Sign simply says "Pets"
