Is it still at the Steinhard Aquarium? I'm going to try to make a trip up there. I might be the only SOCAL member representing.:D

~*CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES*~

The California Academy of Sciences is a multifaceted scientific institution committed to leading-edge research, to educational outreach, and to finding new and innovative ways to engage and inspire the public.
It's as if the new Academy brings the whole universe under one roof - an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum, rain forest and more! Check out the links below to see all the amazing facilities - once separated, that are now joined together under one - living - roof!!

The Steinhart Aquarium

The 412,000 square foot structure is not only physically impressive, but it just may be the greenest museum on the planet, with a 2 ½ acre Living Roof, an expansive solar canopy, an extensive water reclamation system, and walls insulated with recycled blue jeans!! The new Academy is now home to nearly 40,000 animals, more than six times the number at the old Academy. Check out the new website to fully explore all there is to see and do, and join us on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 as MFK takes on the Academy!!

I think we might need to change the time...

1pm = 2pm entrance

The line for non-members is ALWAYS sooooo long. The other day it was actually at capacity, on a weekday too!!!

I understand it can be an all day thing...I'm thinking of going way earlier so I can get a safe spot to park, and meeting everybody inside if need be...
