MFK Winter Nor-Cal Meet

Not sure BUT you cant walk there from BART. Its still a long way from it. Once off BART you can take a cab or bus, but walking would take a long time....

Ok now before anyone freaks out on me, take a breath and keep reading to see why...
Being the Mod's heading this meet, Gr8KarmaSF and I have taken a considerable amount of time discussing this decision before it was made.
Our first concern pertained to issues which do not need to be discussed outside of staff, however, upon reviewing the situation, we looked at the bigger picture and realized that there could be several advantages to our members if we postponed the meet a little longer.
When we weighed the pro's and con's of postponing the meet, we realized that the pro's for the members far outweighed the con's, and therefore we decided that we could either make the decision on our own, or open it up to all of you, and see what you would prefer.
Below is a list of the Pro's and Con's of moving the meet back. Take a look at them and decide. Gr8KarmaSF will be posting a poll shortly within this thread for you guys to vote on what you would prefer; "Keep the date the same, forfeit the extra goodies" or "Move it to March, and bring on the gifts". So here you go;
PRO's of Postponing the Meet:
* Holiday Season has passed
* Weather is warming (less icy winds and rain)
* Funds will be easier to work with for those who are on a limited budget
* Those intending to fly in can advance book their ticket and save $$
* Those with busy work schedules can reserve time off in advance
* Those who would be unable to attend now, will be given another shot
* LE "Nor-Cal" meet shirts will be given away, instead of regular MFK ones
* LE Ocean's Advocate shirts will be available then, and given away
* MFK Post Cards will be available and given away
* MFK decals will be available and given away
* Ocean's Advocate bumper stickers will be given away
* Monterey Bay Aquarium gifts will be given away
Con's of Postponing the Meet:
*You have to wait longer
Once Gr8KarmaSF posts the poll, please think over your decision, and then vote according to what you feel would be the best all around. I know it's a slight bubble-burster to have to wait a little longer, but keep in mind the awesome advantages that will come to all if we do. Thanks guys!
