Breast feeding dramatically increases the immune system. Babies who are breast fed are generally healthier their entire lives.

The problem might be that women are afraid and don't seek professional help on how to do it correctly. Or they are selfish career people who pop the child out and rapidly pass it off to paid personnel to act as surrogate parents. I see it at my wife's workplace. Little babies and their moms are nowhere around. It's disgusting that a person can do that and sleep at night.

I agree. Only babysitters I will allow to watch my kids would be my good ole mom and pop;) and I guess the wifes parents too:irked:

This only affected powdered Similac. Liquid Similac was unaffected, and remained safe.

As I read it, the possible beetle contamination presented no physical threat, but the larvae have the possibility of causing intestinal discomfort and may lead to babies refusing to eat because of it.

i agree. I have no problem with people who feed formula because of medical reasons, but even if it hurts to breast feed you can pump. If ur not produceing enough, then suppliment.

My wife has a bunch of friends that all just had babys. Can you belive out of 8 people who had a baby(not counting us) none are breast feeding? One was because medical others were just selfish. 4 are on gov assistance for the formula. They have a healthier free source of food for thier infance and instead they use my tax dollars.:irked:

best post I've seen on here in a while...ironically, we had to use formula for medical reasons, but definitely think if someone is physically able to feed the baby and healthy enough to do so, they should.

My wife still tries to breastfeed but she is drying up. Maybe only gets 4-5ozs a day. So my daughter has been getting Enfamil/Enfa grow and some juice.

We have given her Similac in the past but she didn't like it as much as Enfamil/Enfa grow.

(Note: not trying to bypass the filter... just spelling a word)

I don't see how a few bugs can be bad or unhealthy when ingested. I have swallowed a few in my day, usually on acccident or on bets with no ill effects. Personally I believe it is more mass hysteria created by our media driven society. There are many 3rd world communities/cultures where insects are a staple.
I am positive that manufacturers put more additives in foods that are much more unhealthy than a few bugs. Just think of preservatives, if it does that for food imagine what it does to your organs.;) Not to mention all the additives that 90% of us can't even pronounce.
