any prime matchups tonight?

So the Howard/Shaq matchup was sooner than I thought lol. That was a war between those guys. The only thing that sucked, was, 1. Wasn't televised, and, 2. The refs put them both in foul trouble, wouldn't let them play. They would let one of them get away with a push, then call it at the other end. You have two of the biggest bruisers to play the game, let them go at it. But I do have to say, Howard won that battle. Not only did they win, he got into Shaq's head. When Shaq threw Howard out of bounds (obvious offensive), Howard just looked at the ref and smiled. When the favor was returned, Shaq went irrate. Shaq even tried flopping a charge! On a Howard move that was very similar to one Shaq would make! All in all, Howard scored a couple more, Shaq rebounded a couple more, so nothing was really proved. It wasn't a difinitive matchup, but I think Howard gets the tip thus far. Especially since Shaq played 5-6 minutes more due to the foul calls, and still put up equal numbers, and half of Shaq's numbers came in that time Howard was out.

And then there's the Melo issue.........what a goon.

what DID melo do? all i read was he broke some rule.

shaq is a whiner...can't admit howard is the new shaq. the flop was ridiculous. I'm excited about the miami/phoenix matchup. See how shaq and wade get along. granted, wade is listed as injured

Karl told Melo he was benched coming out of a timeout, and he ran out on the court anyway. Then today, said he did nothing wrong. That's what will keep him from good to great, his attitude. He's still immature, and clearly not ready to win anything.

Wade seems to be the only other half of any Shaq "duo" that still gets along with him. I was reading something yesterday (can't remember where) where some Laker fans were calling him out, too, saying though he won rings with them, his ego was still larger than him and his skillset. They pointed out how he can't give anyone other than himself credit. He talked down Laker big men of the past, things like that (I've never heard this about LA bigs, but I'm also not in LA to hear everything published). It's the same with Kobe and the stupid rap he did. He said Kobe couldn't have done it without him.....but he couldn't have done it without Kobe.

go celtics! trashed the cavs...miami took care of the raptors as well

at least shaq held his own against howard who's more than 10 yrs. younger..imagine what he could have done if they were the same age..

that flop sucked, probably the old man in shaq:ROFL:

Yeah, that flop started quite the battle. Well....I don't know if you'd call it a battle....more like, Van Gundy made a couple comments, and Shaq took it to another rediculous level (even continued to after Van G's apology).

Boston looked like the reigning champions. They played great, even without KG. The front court was awesome, Allen showed up, and Marbury turned the ball over in limited handling.....:grinno: Oh, wait, that wasn't a good thing. They looked good. Wade's literally PULLING that team down there. He's my top candidate for MVP right now.
