Yeah but can he shoot? and will he shoot in crunch time if he needs to?

I don't think he should need to with the guys the Lakers have, but I would have said the same thing about BOS, and Miami before them if we're talking Posey.

I was refering to posey's defense...Ariza doesnt need to shoot in the crunch or shoot in a game for that matter with the way this team is loaded on offense, the lakers got 2 crunch time shooters in Fischer and Kobe..with ariza defending the opposing team's shooters, it gives kobe a chance to save energy..Ariza can defend the james, ginobli's, t-macs, etc..Ariza reminds me of a Raw more athletic tayshaun prince, if he can be what prince is for the pistons that would be great for the lakers future

I view Ariza as becoming (hopefully) something like Pippen. I just see it in him. Swarming d, scores well (even if it's off of Kobe, Pippen did it off Jordan), just contributes with his drive and energy. He is always a boost off the bench, and can put up stats in any category.

I always liked ARIZA, when everyone was going crazy over Bynum ,my brother and I were jumping up and down that Ariza joined the team. So good to see the Lakers get a real "long lanky" Defender ,someone with all the intangibles and ATHLETICISM . I see Ariza as the kind of player that brings a lot of the "small" things needed to win.

Wow, you guys are pretty high on Ariza. I think he is pretty athletic, but Pippen? Come on, Pippen! Scottie was an unbelievable player.
About Ariza not having to shoot in the clutch. All I'm aying is you would have thought that Posey wouldn't need to with Garnett, Pierce, and Allen...

I really like his D but I never said the next Pippen! Bynum went crazy last night, at least the Clippers are good for something!

If only bynum could go crazy like that against the howards and garnetts....
You forgot Duncan. Howards just depend on his size and power too much. I rarely see Howards get high score when he against Duncan or KG. Too bad, Duncan and KG are getting old.

I'm not saying he is right now. Come on, Pippen was NOTHING without Jordan. When Jordan left, Pippen disappeared. I don't know why he is held THAT highly. He was a #2 guy, could not have led his own team.....sound like what you're saying about Ariza? My point is I see similar skills in the kid, that's all.

On a different note, Nate Robinson against Stoudemire and Shaq was awesome!

I know. Lee is a baddass. New York did the right thing getting him and building around him. Now if they can just get all the talent on the same page. Experience is one thing that they need....well, that and defense lol.

So Olympiacos goes from wanting Marbury, to wanting Pargo, a week after their first transplant goes down with an injury......:grinno:
