Fischer stepped up HUGE! (and CP3 F-ed up big time)

Fischer taking a charge with 20 seconds left, game tying three with 15 seconds left, and hit all 6 free throws he took with under a minutes left in OT.

CP made a huge rookie mistake. Up by three with 20 seconds left and he decides to try and run the break versus backing it out and taking a foul. Furthermore, it was a 3 on 1 break and he got called for a charge. Just a horrible play overall. Byron Scott looked really disappointed...

CP3 lost the game for NO, i liked what i saw with the lakers they never gave up..even if they played poorly they still got it together in the end, should serve as a warning for the other west teams, even on a bad night lakers are hard to beat...

Fisher was the hero in that game

Still here. Can't say the same for many others. This is basically like a 4-5 person thread with the occassional "!" from random people lol. Speaking of.....anybody know what happened to Onion? He hasn't been on for a couple months.

I don't know. I see an occassional post from him every week or so...

The dunk Howard just threw down on Wade and Haslem was MEAN. Both guys grabbed both arms, and he still killed it. Sorry, just had to say that. :D

Yeah, I know. The dunk that Wade threw down right before the half was sick too!

He has such a quick burst when he goes up. It's sad that Lewis is about the same size, well, height as Howard, and he stood no chance of stopping Wade on that dunk. Had Howard been in the game, Wade wouldn't have even thought about it. Howard was doing an awesome job of keeping him out of the lane with easy shots. Anything he made in the lane was just a great shot. If only the perimeter defense could be as good as Howard's interior, he wouldn't have went for 50. Orlando picking up Alston was a HUGE deal for them. Johnson and Lue are not starters, and were doing a terrible job in that position. Alston just meshes so well with their game. He knows he's not there to score, just distribute. And in this first game I've seen him in Orlando, he was nearly perfect at doing so.

Wade's dunk was nasty, and so was his 27 in the first half. I actually felt bad for him in that game, the only other person who came to play was Chris Quinn, and that really sucks.

another note: I was paying attention to Stan Van Gundy in that game, and I'm not sure but he may actually be a pretty good coach. It's always hard to tell in the NBA because you get guys with a ton of talent who are just considered good coaches (don't get me started on Doc Rivers), then there's guys who are good coaches, but have no players. Stan looked like he was pretty solid, I loved him chewing his guys out when Wade hit a jumper and they were up by 20.

:ROFL::ROFL:Wade looks MVP'ish this year...The NBA is getting that Wilkins, Drexler, Jordan, Pippen, Barkley feel to it again. Wade is like Dominique crossed with John Stockton. His passing has hit a level that I did not know he had in him. That play by the team that I will not speak of was sick. They were playing golden state off the backboard..You guys know, the *Sonics :(
