WTF! this board has become so stupid. There was no curse word anywhere in that post. The word you censored is the Pilipino word for Merry or Happy. :(

Juan, I am sorry about the inconvenience this has caused but globally, some sexual remarks can offend which is why it was censored. It does not unfortunately exempt some words or a portion of it the way it was written, which we realize are not offensive especially when spoken in another language.

Tell me, I know you are Pilipino. What sexual remark is in saying "Merry Christmas" in Tagalog? or in any language for that matter.:irked:

Juan, I'll try to clarify this so we won't have further misunderstandings. I am sorry you are taking this rather strongly than I had thought when I thought I explained it clearly to you.

The first thing to note is the three-letter word which we both know. (You may PM me this one as it is censored in case you don't get this one.) As globally and already considered a word with a double meaning, it has been widely used in reference to the society by sex rather than the actual emotions we used to express.

Unfortunately the Tagalog word we used, has the three-letter word injected in the middle hence the filter still manages to catch it. We usually filter overly used offensive remarks such as the three-letter word. Since Filipino words are seldom used except in threads such as this, the staff set the censor system to taboo the word because of the widely harsh reception it gets when expressed in a manner that offends a part of our society.

I understand you had no intention to express it (offensively) that way and simply meant to greet everyone here the traditional and native way that we do. It just got caught there.

I was hoping you would understand the reasoning behind this. I am really sorry if our intentions here were misunderstood. I wish I could have clarified this to you much better. You did nothing wrong on your part and I understand your displeasure why it got that way.
