But MI does not have native redears...they were stocked from the South. I think this fish of yours looks like bluegill x pumpkinseed IMO.

Why do you want to make them redears? Have you ever seen a redear MT?

you are correct redears are not native

redears were stocked by the dnr in almost all area lakes around me
 
So why they should look different from these South redears?
