Put the females in separate cages until you determine which ones are pregnant as pregnant females should be kept by themselves; you can redistribute the non-pregnant females once you've determined which ones are pregnant.

I'll chime in with my experience, I keep 10 groups of 1.7 in stack set up.when I need to add a mouse to a group I do so only when there are no babies or soon to babies. Usually they fight but son calm down , but once in a while the new guy can get beaten up badly, always keep watch on the situation.

Ok so now I have 3 males and 12 females. I euthanized 5 males.
My plan is to have 1.6 in 1 tank and the other 1.6 in another tank. This sound good?
Is it okay to keep the extra male in a 5 gallon by its self, or should I just euthanize the extra.
Although they're feeders I want to yay them humanely.
