ignorance and stupidity ,often confused ,are two totally unrelated conditions..ya can't help being "stupid"(if you are,and this is not saying you are ,or anything close)....ignorance is the"art"of being unaware ,often willfully...politicians love to talk to this group..and no I wan't thinking you were trolling:)

Ignorance is a lack of knowledge or information. Young folks are mostly ignorant about Mickey Rooney because his work that could be viewed as important, if one views making movies and TV important, took place many decades ago.

Intentional ignorance of important matters is, IMO, an example of stupidity, meaning behavior that shows a lack of intelligence, judgement, or common sense. I think, maybe incorrectly, that this was implied with the "How have you never seen this movie from 1936? You must have been living under a rock to not know who Rooney was," attitude.

I was curious about who he was. I might even go watch a few of his flicks. Nothing for you to take personal and start handing out free insults over

He was a good actor and an iconic celeb ,you will enjoy finding out more about him..

I dont blame anyone younger than 40 that doesn't remember them. I remember him because I was exposed to allot of older movies and his characters always made a real impression on me. He is an icon but there are icons from my parents era that I cant name I only slightly recognize them.

I also just read nobody has claimed his body yet. his estranged wife tried to take him but i guess it was against his wishes. Dont know i guess he had it set up before he died don't let that lady take me.
