These micro bubble is driving me nuts. Does anyone know what the cause? It's an establish tank. There's more off them when i turn off my air stone. i'm running a sump with overflow box and micron sock. Flow rates around 2100 ghp. All water parameter are normal.

Thanks

Does your sump have a bubble trap built in? If not, a few pieces of acrylic can make all the difference. Had to re-build a sump for a friend with the same problem, took care of it.

Here is the image of what I ended up doing, with dual bubble traps! (I like to over do things! :D)

I do have a bubble trap in my sump..........I notice this when i change my inlet to get a better water circulation ( power head ). I try to reduce the inlet flow but it's not working...

If a power head gets to little air the impeller more or less whips the air into the water, instead of just lightly beating it in (bad example but true). I had this problem on another tank, just open up the air inlet all the way, maybe even put it on a small air pump to make sure it is not 'sipping' air.

Might sound a bit odd, but worked perfect for me.

I found a solution...... i made my inlet hole larger. I was moving too much water which cause the bubble.
