hmm that's true, don't some people use those acrylic tank's<hope thats the name>, but thought you were building a tropical pond?

yeah, i was going to have a tropical pond but now im thinking if i have a tank with acrylic it will look so much nicer. but it will be really expensive though! need to see how good my finance is when they get to that size!

odd?? my strangest experience was coming back to tank about 2 hours after feeding and 1 of my 2 had strangely died. I still to this day don't know how. No marks just upside down dead. The other is nearing the 2 foot mark and can be skittish and that scares the crap out of me

yeah mine are really skittish too. i had a new one come in that was extremely skittish then he made the others get skittish aswell so now the whole group just reacts along with him after he gets scared, kind of annoying. they jump at every single little thing!

thanks :D

yeah, that's why i hate bala sharks soooo much because they are always so jumpy and get spooked easily. i hate it when fish get all jumpy. before when the SH just started to get jumpy i'd be so worried in case something was wrong. but now i just tell them to shut up :D

I had a very simalar expearence with my Diplogramma. Spooked it when I entered my garage. turned over, thought i'd killed it. I had him in a net for about an hour at the surface trying to keep him upright and moving him and down to try and get some air. He did recover.

When I first read it, I thought it was "need to see how good my fiance is"
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
but yeah, a super big size acrylic tank sure burns a hole in the wallet...
might as well DIY a pond or custom make a 10 feet glass tank..
Wish I'd the space though.. ;)

One time I was cleaning the tank & my 2ft micro just jumped out at my face which scared the pee out of me.. It did suffer some scratches but healed after some wc..

obviously i wont be building it :D he'd be building it and i'd just be getting in the way but arguing like we always do about fish related stuff :D.

but an acrylic tank would look soooo nice in place of a tropical pond. i was thinking about a glass tank, but wouldnt want them to smash it..i dont even want to imagine the nightmare which would happen after that. i'm always checking for leaks, heard too many stories!
