In the USA you may want to join the American Live Bearers Association as at least one of their members (Bill Allen) had access to belonesox as of last October.

I never knew they were so rare... here in toronto they pop up at least 2-3x per year @ anywhere from $10-40 ea.

Those are awesome i gotta get some

Have you looked into any of the dwarf Crenicichla yet? A pair would be wicked in a tank of that size. They are active, and definately predatory, plus could live in there for life...;)

Crenicichla regani
Crenicichla compressiceps
Crenicichla notophthalmus

Just to name a few...;)

What's the smallest tank size required for a dwarf Crenicichla?

30 gal, might be able to put a pair in that size, as there are several dimension for a 30gal...30gal long would work best. Easier to keep a pair in a 50gal though. ;). They stay small though, so 30gal for life is very doable! ;)
