Hey just saw that my walking catfish got a bad bite mark on hes body im guessing he pissed off the micro... ive tried walking catfish earlier with the same result. ive got no idea hes been doing fine with smaller SH`s , RTC , but he just doesnt seem to stand the walking catfish right now its lying very badly hurt what should i do with it? i got one idea and its the way the Clarias (walking catfish) moves looks almost like a hurt fish perhaps the SH sees it as food?

How big are they? Both seem to be naturally aggressive. Maybe they were going at it for dominance. Do you have another tank to put the Clarias in to heal?
I'm not surprise that I micro would do that. I've seen them with a similar size tsn and the micro killed the tsn.

I've always heard that Micros are just plain evil. They're probably best suited as a solitary tank.
Clarias are natural food for the micro....here in Malaysia...we use clarias as baits...one of the best baits to catch Micro's
agreed , instinct will kick in micro will eat claris in the wild it will recognise it as food , because the claris size is somewhere near the micros size i would suggest the micro is attacking the claris and then getting stung by the claris and so then leaving it alone , they problem is he will try it again , i would put the claris in the tub to heal then trade it when it has healed. the micro is just doing what comes natural to it , he will only get worse as he grows at 18" and above you will start to see a defanite change in its behavior , this maybe just the start of it .
