I've heard them refered to as cyclops' as well. From what i've read they're a sign of a healthy tank, and your fish will eat them. I wouldn't worry about them. If they jump around and stay on the glass chances are these are what they are. However from what i've read the majority of really small organisms your going to find in your freshwater tanks are probably beneficial. I wouldn't worry too much

I think they're most likely copepods, I'd definitely like to hear from an expert though.

I don't think they're ostracods, they're the wrong shape, and what Cookie*420 describes sounds like planaria flatworms.

That's exactly what they were (in my tank), thank you Burto. I was looking for the name of them the other night and could not find it anywhere.

Completely harmless. The ones I've had in my tanks have always been pinhead size, barely visible. They only grow huge when they have a large food supply. They free-float and "stick" to the sides of the glass, cruising up and down.

Doesnt seem to this .. it long lol. well in ratio it long..

Their too small to be seen by a maybe 4-5 inch kelberi pb.
and most of the mates are that size too lol.

unless the pleco unexpectely suck them into their stomach haha.
