So, I have my 220 up and running, finally, and I'm having a problem with microbubbles.

Not the greatest pictures, but I'm hoping that you can see that the smaller bubbles that are caused by the water flowing down the baffle from the previous chamber are making it over into the pump chamber of my sump. I have reduced the amount by making sure that both pump inlets are turned over toward the opposite side of the chamber, but there are still a noticeable amount of microbubbles coming out into my display tank.

Do any of you have recommendations for eliminating these microbubbles?

Thanks everyone!

Swirling the water will help remove them through coalescent.

Correct me if i am wrong, but aren't micro bubbles a sign of oxygen super saturation?

I think what I might try doing is putting some sponges at the bottom of the baffles to catch the bubbles before they have a chance to get into the pump chamber. Then, whatever small bubbles are created will hopefully join together to form larger bubbles and float back up the baffles, or at least right up the front of the pump chamber before they get to the pump inlet.

I managed to fix my microbubble problem. I just had to shove some sponges underneath the baffle to keep the bubbles from getting into the pump chamber. It's working great!
