Micropeltes dead...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well it doesn't make sense because i have seen with my own eyes redlines in the same tank many times and as long as they are being fed they don't turn on each other.... Also redlines are extremely predatorial and need to be feed live food on a frequent basis ...Maybe thats why one ate the other. :naughty:

Well, if it makes you feel better, I bought 10 about two months ago, and they were all about 4 inches each. They just keep dyting everyday. There is none left. They eat everyday, but in the morning I would see one dead.

It's messed up because snakeheads are the most feared fish by the Canadian and American governments, yet most snakeheads die before they reach adolencence. Me and two other guys bought in total 16 bleheri from the same batch, and i'm pretty sure that number is down to like seven because i have all five of mine (that just got treated for ick by the way) and the other two are down to one each.

Keeping this fish species, period... is UNPREDICTABLE?!! Anything can happen... cannibalism, mystery deaths, etc.??

Sorry to hear of your loss btw, sqratch... my condolences! :(

I too have seen LOADS of redlines being kept in the same tank. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Did u read my entire posts? About what i feed them everyday? They have live food EVERYDAY.

Thanks phull, the one that died was not nearly as aggressive as the one that still alive. It would just follow the more aggressive one around all day everyday. And when ever i put a molly in, BANG the more aggresive one would hit it even before the molly knew what was up. THe other one kinda looked a molly then would swim and follow the aggressive one. This is why I fully expected one of them to do. Survival of the fitest. THe dumb one was blatantly an idiot.

RobD: So you're saying i don't feed my fish well? They were both about 2 to 3 inches on a diet of 1 molly each, a cub of frozen blood worm and dried krill, they have that everyday. So don't say my fish weren't well fed. PERIOD.

ROBD:

just read my last post and i sounded like a HUGE a**h***. I vaguely remember writing that post but i remember i was pretty drunk. Anyways i'm sorry if i sounded like a pr*ck didn't mean to. MY BAD
