its been my experience that all gaming consoles have a higher failure rate than normal electronics, I have had several friends that have had to send back their 360s, but at least microsoft is covering them under warranty. which is better than sony did with their PS2s, almost everyone i know that had one of those had disk read errors or overheating problems, and sony never did anything to help them out if they were out of warranty. But i think they learned from the PS2 and put out a much better quality system this time, nobody i know has had any ps3 issues yet.
