MICROWAVE WON'T WORK.....Should I get it fixed or just get a new one?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you can get one for $10-$20 on craiglist... if your into that kinda thing

HA HA....I won't be doing that, surely.I have a friend of a friend who is said to bring her microwave along with her when she travels.Checks it at the airport as luggage and sets it up at whichever hotel she stays at.

Buy new, best case scenario you'll get charged $50 to fix something that is 10 years old and can be replaced for $75.

strange, decent hotels have microwaves in the rooms

Hello; Had a microwave fail many years ago. Bought a new one as life was busy at the time. Eventually took the broken one apart and found a bad connection with a bit of corrosion. Cleaned the connector and it worked. The microwave generators seem to go on and on in these things, but the other components can be of questionable construction. The new one still heats, but the digital display has begun to go out so the old one is in use now. It was worth a look inside for me.

Hmmm.I'm a bit of a tinkerer when I'm in the mood to be so maybe I will put the old one in a corner in the basement for when I get around to doing something like that.....Just got a new one from WallyWorld.Smaller than the old one but the price was right.:headbang2
