What is good fish that is about 6 to 8inches that is thick body and not aggressive nor predatory?

What did you plan to house with it? All fish will eat fish that are a whole lot smaller then they are.
Angel fish? I'd say Centnapoma but they will eat smaller slender fish. What would you be keeping with the centerpiece fish?
I have a 56 gallon tall tank I have six Raphael catfish 3to 4 inches, two feather fin catfish about 6 inches and two pineapple plecos 7 inch and 5 inch, a 7 inch callichtys callichtys and lots ramhorn snail, two large waters sprites and several large java fern and 3 hob filters two ac 70 with large peace lilies and ac 50 with very large pothos and eheim 2217 canister filter and looking one more mis size fish
yes it help keep the tank very clean without turning the tank into whirl pool the leopard centnapoma sounds very good
