I traded out some fish so my stocklist has changed recently. Prior I tried tiger barbs but my JD made lunch out of them (I no longer have the JD) so the barbs might work.

Tank size is a 6' 150g, stock list is as follows: 2.5" Male stalsbergi, 4" Female Gold Sev, 4" Female Nic 'macaw', 3" Female Salvini, 4" Male Crenicichla Lucius, 6" Zig Zag Eel and an 5" unknown sex Vieja Regani

Not a fan of Giant Danios so those guys are out. Anyone know of anything that could work?

SD or Balas might work

Silver Dollars would work, but they can get pretty skittish at times. Rainbows could also work, but can get pricey.

I have Columbian tetras, they have bright blue shiney bodies and blood red fins, I have a group of 8 in my 225 and they always stay together near the surface levels. they can be very aggressive towards eachother but my cichlids don't touch them and they are very fast. I also mixed them with 4 black skirts and they also do very well. both these fish indicate your water quality with their colours,
bright red fins on columbians means good quality, pink is poor. black skirt means good quality whereas the grey skirt is poor.

silver dollars tend to roam all levels of the tank, but they are also a good addition.

i agree with columbian tetras,i found rainbows in petsmart called"australian rainbows" could have been a mix, they were great only 2-3 dollars a piece.a few years ago i found LFS with filament barbs, wish they were easier to get,and cheaper.

Checked out my local Petco and a LFS around me, rainbows are a tad pricey going for $9-13 a piece, I'll take a look at the columbian tetras.

I have a school of Buenos Aires Tetras in my 135gal CA tank. They get to about 3" and are fast and actually quite aggressive with each other. You may want to check them out...

also would like to add that my school of 8 columbians is 5 years old and not a single casualty. they've moved house 3 times and lived in 4 different tanks over their lifetime. very hardy fish.

I have astyanax bimaculatus which gets up to 6". They look like mini bycrons and highly recommend them if you can find them.
I originally wanted Mexican tetras, but these were the close as I could get for a CA tetra. They are mostly found in SA, but they are also found in Panama.

Another vote for BA tetras. There are fast and hardy. They will eat live plants though but I doubt that is an issue with your tank.

Dollars or Balas will get way to big for the role you have in mind IMO. Your tank will be getting very full as it is looking at your current stock.
