Mida X ingot parrot,

recently, I just bought a Male Mida, and he paired up with my female ingot parrot. they have babies. but these babies just keep dying everyday. anyone knows why?
anyone knows how they look like after they grown up? i was told they will look just like blood parrot.

The fry can die for a variety of reasons. The most common one in my experience is that they get sucked into the filter intakes. Put a sponge or mesh over them to prevent that. The parents may also be really inexperienced, and they might end up eating some of the babies. Genetics can also be an issue, fry with deformities sometimes die. Oh, and tankmates will gobble any.

They are also quite sensitive to changes in water quality so make sure the tank is all the way cycled and that you are keeping up on water changes. Be careful with your siphon though, or you can suck up the fry haha.
