Midas 4/20/09

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
your shooting a 150mm macro right? That would be the biggest issue in my mind, something short like 60mm would make shooting them a breeze.

great fish.

WOW, I really don't know what else to say!

Still got that creamsicle monster huh?!

Yep, he's not going anywhere for a long long time.

Nice fish! Are those both true Midas, or are they RD/Midas?
Dmaan.;3039396; said:
yep, both are citrinellus.

Orange male originally bought from Ken Davis. The white male don't know but it could have some RD genes in him as I've only gotten him last year from lfs. Only info I got on him was previous owner had him by himself in a 125g:ROFL:.

I didn't know Ken Davis had creamsicles. Anyway, that orange on eis losing it's black isn't it. It looks like my f1 from Ken, except mine is only 4" now. Very compact fish. I hope mine is going to turn out as nice as yours.

I originally thought the orange male was a piebald but it keep losing it's black colorings, now it's almost all gone.

White male was bought locally.

Yes I'm shooting with the 150mm, with it I can barely fit the big guys in the frame:ROFL:. I thinking about either the 60mm or another flash as my next purchase.

If it came from a reputable breeder sure, if not you'll never know 100%.
Regardless it's a nice fish

Thanks for kind words everyone, I'll try to get better pix next time.

nothing wrong with your pics. the 2nd one makes the midas look kind of menacing and the 4th just looks really cool.
