I like ur tank. Im planning to buy a Midas. Are they cool? hehe I mean I had a green terror and they are so frustrating because they always hide.
Midas are awesome, they are aggressive, they beg for food, they redecorate the entire tank and grow really fast.
But I also like Green Terrors, how come yours always hide? usually they only hide if they are scared of another fish.

yeah usually GT only hide when they are really little or if they are getting picked on or something, but yeah as long as you have the space you cant go wrong with a midas, they are always in your face and have great personality, mine is even blind in one eye but he doesnt let it affect him, he still eats great along with everyone else and comes to the front when he knows food its coming

blind on one eye? how did that happen? got a pic of him?

yeah here are a couple pics of him, the blind eye is the one that kind of goes inward and isnt clear all the way, but yeah i actually feel really bad about it as it was totally my fault, i got busy with school and finals and everything and slacked on water changes for like a month and a half and he got a really bad bacterial and fungal infection in that eye. it took like 2-3 weeks to treat him with separate fungal and bacterial med rounds in a hospital tank and he lost his appetite for awhile during treatment but it finally went away and he is now healthy as ever, his only issue is that sometimes he falls a bit short in his gulp for food or has to do an extra little circle around with his good eye to size it up properly but other than that he is doing fine and i have definitely learned my lesson and dont slack on the water changes and it has really reignited my interest in the hobby

he is actually a creamsicle midas but he hasnt peeled yet, he is only about 5in atm but growing fast. he has started to get red so is in the beginning stages of peeling and i cant wait to see what he looks like once he is done, the red doesnt really show in the pics for some reason but you can kind of see it in the last one

He's looking much better, that was a tough infection to get rid of. It's nice to see him back and healthy. Good job!
