Thats a really great midas & a low grade (but still good-looking IMO) flowerhorn. Its a no brainer. Also FH are getting more common all the time. I have no doubt that they will still be here when your situation improves and you are able to afford one.

Anybody can breed common FHs.

A Midas like that does not come often.

Who wants an orange cichlid with huge bulging head mass when you could have a flowerhorn who has a combination of all the sweet cichlids!

Hi all ive got a midas that ive had for 6 months, great fish. Always wanted a flowerhorn but they're rare as unicorn s*it. Recently found one going cheap so i bought it thinking i could set up another tank for him.
Unfortunately my circumstances have changed and i can no longer afford the second tank currently living with a divider they're in the same tank but i know ill have to rehome one of them but i can't choose between them.
What u you guys keep out of the two?
