Midas Cichlid disease

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
First of all, I would separate them asap. Your fish from the picture has pretty shredded fins but it looks like he should make an easy recover if you seperate them. If they are not separated soon then you may experience further issues.

No, it won't work in a 4 foot tank. Once it's healed up, rehome one of them.
K, ill be sad to see it go but ill do anything to make my fish healthy
Thank you so much for your help, its been greatly appreciated

The thing is they are both male's. And like my male A. Saggitae is at the size that they start getting thier big boy pants and attitude. I recently had to remove all the fish from his tank due to aggression.
Best bet is to seperate them to let the weak one heal up. Then rehome the little fellow. My male has already killed off a competitor male and his first wife. They were all in a 6ft 125gal tank and still had the same aggression issues .
