He's started off looking like a barred midas? I have a young barred looking midas that I picked from a group of piebald looking juveniles just wonder what his adult colours could be

Awesome! I find him a tad slim, however....feeding well?
 
your female is gorgeous, male has a nice shape with nice blue eyes, although i personally am not a big fan of huge humps... well done sticking with him for three years!-)
 
This guy did start off looking barred.

He also eats well. I only feed him every other day. I am trying to keep him on the slim side. He will eat as long as you throw food in the tank.

Thanks for all the replies. I already replaced the batteries on the smoke alarm lol.

Lol good. It's not like you don't have enough water around, but hey better safe than sorry haha.
