Midas coloration/markings changing?

How likely is it that my Juvie midas will retain his current patterning/colors? He's still pretty small at a little less than four inches but for the most part he's retained the his orange lipstick he's had since a baby. I'll upload some pics if I can get him to cooperate later on today. Anyone have before/after shots of their midas' juvenile pattern vs adult?

I hope he retains the lipstick or at the very least some high contrast like that guy there^. Is that a red devil or midas btw?

Thats amazing. The transitional period he had was trippy looking. What did the female look like as a juvie?

Would not think that was the same fish, crazy! Thanks for posting the pics, he's so vibrant in that last one.
 
I think your midas has a great possibility of retaining its present white/orange pattern. I've seen many adult midas/red devils with interesting white/orange patterns. btw nice midas Oto
