So who cares what you call it, it's the same thing. you've all just repeated the same thing. How about answering the questions asked. ANNOYING! I'm only bitter necause it happens to me too. and its very annoying.

What's annoying is you not reading and then saying others are annoying. If you read the SECOND POST, Modest_Man did answer the question. I'll spell it out to you since you just want to flame us. And btw, I didn't repeat, I only agreed.

As for when, could be never. Depends on the gender, genetics, and care of the fish.

Something scott mentioned (especially considering the midas is 5"), things such as mood and waterchanges determine the nuchal hump size. I also do not see what is so annoying about using the term "kok" strickly for flowerhorns and nuchal hump for pure species cichlids. I actually prefer the term nuchal hump for hybrids and pure species alike.

Usually when they reach 7 inch it starts to grow a bit, could also be sooner though. If the fish is dominant it will usually grow sooner and bigger as well.
