thats what silver dollars are for. Try researching the fish before you bring them home. Cichlids don't mix with characins.

i disagreee as always, ive kept my cichlids with dollars and hujeta pike characins just fine. silver dollars get big and are fast and providing you grow them both up together there is no problems!
ive done it multiple times.
maybe things are done differently in america i don't know
either way what camphilophus said is COMPLETLY wrong.
larger characins make exelent tankmates for cichlids

Yes, only one! Its a black bar silver dollar, I tried kept a few smaller one but they got killed by some fish (cant find the suspect) probably by my NGT (New Guinea Tiger) Datnoid
