also they look like midas (red devil). they do get coloration of white in some of the midas. i say midas.

LOL! Yeah I was pretty pleased. I actually traded a dozen frontosa fry for them so there wasn't any out of pocket cost.
Well, the store owner assured me that they have spawned before, but he had to seperate them because the male kept trying to kill the female along with any other fish he had with them. They definitely seem to be acting like a couple albeit not a very harmonious one. I think it's kinda like a Rhianna, Chris Brown relationship.
Well thought this was worth documenting. It's only been 13 days since I obtained these fish and the male has already started developing a noticeable nuchal hump. As a side note, I believe they have spawned, but I can't confirm it for sure because the female resides behind a pile of rocks. Here are some profile pics that show the male's nuchal developement.
Honestly, i was pretty surprised. I haven't really been keeping track of this pair much with my work schedule. It wasn't till I slowed down with a glass of wine last night and compared photos that I really noticed a difference. It's a pretty astounding change in just 13 days though.
