Not to derail your thread, but I'm intrigued by your sump setup. Are all the tanks plumbed to it? I'd like to see more details, you should start a thread on it if you don't already have 1.....Nice Midas too!
I live in Florida and all my tanks are outside. The sump is a 110g stock tank. It has 12 gallons of pond matrix and full of pothos and other plants. Some of the pothos has 2ft plus leaves. The vine is about 2" in diameter. I got it from a tree at a friend's. It grows wild in places here.
Right now only a 120 is plumed to it. Eventually it will go outside my lanai and sunk in the ground a bit. However I may upgrade it to a 300g stock tank.
