Midas(RD) vs. Butti vs. FH

Due to some unforsen (yet fortunate) events, I amy have my old 75 loosing its current inhabitants in the next few months. While semi-aggro SA cichlids and african oddballs are still my two main passions, I am tempted to dedicate this tank to a solitary, show quality monster. The question is what to get?

I definetely want something eye-catching, interactive, and a vicious glassbanger. I want to experience what its like to fear putting your hands in the water You get the idea.

What woud you choose and why?

Well no Butti is going to live in a 75, I hope. I'd say your best bet out of the three is a FH, since Midas and Buttis are both kinda large for a 75, imo.

i've keep all three, i would say red devil or fh are more interactive. buttis are just eating machines and bullys. fh are better to look at.

All three would be fine in a 75g. If there's anything that could be cramped it would be the FH because of the trimac blood in it.. so it has the slight chance to get big. But most are ok in a 75g. And butt's grow so slow that while they could get 16-18" or so it will take 10 years or so.

Either is fine, but I would go with pure midas for the most part. But no guarentees.. Not all are hatred. Sometimes you get a nice one that wants friends..

Stab, is a Trimac not a consideration? Maybe a Red Devil then. I've owned a few and every one of them was meaner than h*ll. I've had one super mean Midas and one super friendly wuss Midas so going off that, I think the odds of a mean glass banging RD is more likely. Or get a few and keep the biggest A-Hole of the bunch.

I love koks! No, not the way your momma loves them (get your mind out the gutter and check the spelling) Because of that I myself lean more toward midas and flowerhorn. As for the true red devil, there is something about those lips that I find unatrctive

Whatever species I choose, I will most likely be getting it on-line, sine I want to make sure that I will end up with a show quality fish. True trimaculatus is an option I have not thought of until now but I am definetely open to it
