Midas(RD) vs. Butti vs. FH

Whatever species I choose, I will most likely be getting it on-line, sine I want to make sure that I will end up with a show quality fish. True trimaculatus is an option I have not thought of until now but I am definetely open to it
Trimac would be a good choice.. grows faster than anything while will stuff that tank to the max at full size you might be ok with a 75g.. If you want a fish to impress with sheer size and possible meaness to match go with trimac...
Rapps sometimes has sexed males every once in a while..
i have a midas butti and rose queen fh. imo i think the butti is the prettiest of all 3. have u thought about a female fesea? maybe not a glass banger but sure is a looker. if so buy a big one cause they grow slow

Butti shouldn't even be in the running IMO. They're freaking amazing when younger, great bands and great attitude. But when they get older they lose those bands and are not a show fish...still a wet pet, but not a show specimen. Checking out my avater you may guess that I'm partial to the trimac idea 
RD/Midas can also be pretty wicked in a 75 gal. After a few years it (and trimac's too) may be a bit large for a 75 gal, but it's still doable.
How fast do you want your beast to grow? If you want a beast and you want it now, the Trimac is the way to go. A bunch of us in F'ton put in an order to Jeff Rapps last year (it's an annual thing) and my Trimacs put all other fish to shame in growth rate...including Male Festae's. In 8 months, expect a 10 inch Trimac

Male Buttikoferi lose their color as they mature, Female butti's fade a little but still keep a nice color. IMHO Butti are a great pet... really personable, but like previously stated, more of a bully then a glassbanger. If you want something that can be a bigtime glassbanger go with an RD, FH CAN be... personally, my FH kinda is, but not to me, only had her for a short while, but she lets me pet her, hasn't tried to bite me. But anybody else, she'll go nuts on you.
I think she realized I feed her, and she's the closest thing to an aquatic pig you can own. T. Buttikoferi being a close second actually.
Oh, to interject on this forum I saw a picture of a HUGE T. Buttikoferi, about 18" they claimed, he had a slight kok. Nothing to write home about but it had one !!!
