He is very very cute.. but hard to tell what he may be mixed with.. {if he is} maybe a few more shots would help.. i am going with midas though.

The majority of RD/Midas in the hobby today are a cross of both. So my vote is both.

I should rephrase my questions...Which does it more closely resemble, a midas or red devil? Also, at what age do they start getting the hump on their head? This guy/gal is around 5-6 inches?

Wow i did not realize it was that big.. usually something will stimulate them..like the opposite sex and it could develop over night.. but generally speaking right about this size it starts to become visible..sometimes a little sooner or later depending on the stimuli..

both, only those bought from a place like TUIC can you be sure that it is a "pure" specimen and not a mixture of the 2
