Midas Trying to Spawn w/ Alone

ithas nothing to do with intelligence, when i say birds im talking about large parrots and they are as smart as a 5 yr old human, lessening the amount of light they get stimulates winter and non-breeding season while longer daylight hours means spring time and time to look for a mate, but like i said probably doesn't work for fish because most of the time their breeding season is triggered by rains not lighting
 
How big is the female Midas? I am sure you've probably checked in your area, but I have noted some rather amazing looking Midas at my local Petsmart - big boys too. Very tempting.
