Needless to say I am dissapointed in how my F1 Male has turned out. I just don't understand why he is a finichy(Spelling) eater not to mention skidish. I have never had a Amphilophus male eat so little and not go absolutly crazy at feeding time gobbling up pellets. The female does and before breeding grows a hump that dwarfs the semi one he sports for acouple hours every now and then. She will actually take crickets from my hand. Just sad.

So I have turned my attention more to the MVP male from their first batch. He is a typical Midas with attitude. Gobbles up food, agressive towards mirror, parents on the other side of the divider, and my kids lol. Just goes to show it's better to grow them out. I can honestly say I can take 100% credit for how he is turning out since I have had him since his parents bred 6 days after recieving them. another year and he will be a beast. Anyway, here are some shots aswell as a Video.

i wonder why he isnt eating like he shoule ????

Some "Father Vs Son" Shots. As you can see, the son has about caught up. He is think, starting to get a hump, and is very brightly colored.

I just don't understand what the deal with my male. Currently he and the female are guarding about 20 fry which I allowed them to keep after culling a full pot of eggs. only left them a small patch. I hope it ups his aggression again and maybe he will eat more and be less skiddish with fry to defend as he was with the first batch. Only time will tell, but I truely hope he comes around. Atleast with 20 fry they won't get stressed out like they were with the last batch I let them raise.

125g, trying to pick up another tank either 75g-125g for the Male to remain solo in. Make it more of a comunity tank if I can get a 125 or larger.

Thanks on the breeding part, not that I have a choice. have to cull eggs every 2 weeks because they breed like convicts. Gave them a break but I'll let them take a small batch so they take a break and maybe put on some size.
