For Anub and midtae...those 2 males in your avatar...are they both yours?
If so, how long did it take for them to get that big, could you give me an indication on hump size/the timing or noticeable growth of it?

Have a young male who I think is going to look great but know nothing of expected growth rates...he just has a little marble on his forehead so I am excited

Maybe he is a little skittish but he looks stunning, keep up the good work bro.

My Midas was also a little shy when he was younger.
And stills a slow eater and is fine on one meal a day.

Either way though your Midas are looking real nice!
Peaches is gonna shine here in the next year.

Well, to answer your questions they will average around 1" per month after the first month. My young male is now about 7 months and is over 6" from nose to tip of tail. I feed him through the day with just a few pellets at a time so as to not over feed him and to maximize his diet. I also feed them Krill as a treat. That is why I am concerned with the father's growth rate. He should be over 10" right now, but is hanging around 8".

Since this post my young male's hump has doubled in size, I'll get another vid up soon.

Irish, here is a Vid of my old male. He was 8" when I got him, but grew to 14" in less then a year and remained very thick and humpish. I think he was at his best in Colorado due to the water which is better then most places. Here is acouple of old Videos for your enjoyment.

Wow thats a big fella. Thanks for taking the time to write so much. That growth rate makes sense when compared to mine. I just hope his head continues to pop as well. Hes been a pain recently, trying to breed, Id rather have him just focus on growing ha. Love seeing pics and vids of these big boys

Yeah, I hope dad picks up now they have fry again(Around 20-30)
Peaches' hump is gettin very large and he is getting more agressive by the day. He definently is a keeper and I love that every bit as good as he will be is because of me and my care.
