Wow he is amazing Scott! What a thick brute.. Mine would eat any livebearer I added within seconds. You have a very unique midas being tollerant of small fish and plants.

Thanks man, he is pretty solid.gorgeous midas he is tank thats for sure!
I beleive the coral lighting has helped with that. His Orange is intense and some of the white is becoming more prolific. He is creaming along nicely.what a beast. very nice deep color.
Thanks.Absolutely stunning!
Thanks man, I enjoy growing them out from nothing into something like this. He is my price and Joy."Jr" has come quite a long way. Stunning Midas Scot your care defiantly shows through him he is a great looking fish.
Thats what he prefers to be call, lol.One word THICK!
Thanks man, I honestly can't wait until I can finally get a 300g to put him in. Thats when I want to try a female. I am sure they will leave the livebearers be if there is plenty of room. The had part will be figuring out where they will want to breed so I can set the plants up accordingly. It is hard to see, but there are a couple of clear patches. One where you see he was low on the tank and the other on the other side underneath the large sword. Thats his personal favorite spot when it's bed time.Wow he is amazing Scott! What a thick brute.. Mine would eat any livebearer I added within seconds. You have a very unique midas being tollerant of small fish and plants.
Thanks Mo, coming from you that means a lot. if only I had the equipment and could take pictures like you. Then people could see how intense his colors really are. Maybe if an ACA show is close enough to my next station and I can put him out to stud I could hook you up. Really wish I could jump on some of those Hog's you got.Very nice, Scott. Great looking Citrinellum. I need to clear some tank space and get another.
Hey, he just retains water! Lol, no bro I didn't feed him right before. He is naturally that thick. Only feed him and the others once a day unless I toss in some blood worms. I love the yellow under his eyes too. Hopefully it turns into a mask down the line. Only time will tell.Nice! I like the yellow under his eyes. Did you feed him right before the pic or is he usually that fat?
Thanks man. Yeah there are nice ones and you can't go wrong with hybrids either. I had one and he was a "Tank" so to speak. This guy though is 100% Citrinellum. Parents were F1's from Jeff Rapps and he was hatched a little over 2 weeks after I got them. His little brother "Juggernaut" was from the same clutch. His thread is also up.say what people say about amphs and the problems with hybridization but that fish is what you want and expect a beastly midas to look like no matter the lineage or provenance of the fish. great job with him
