Midas water parameters

Consistency of parameters and good water quality is more important than trying to manipulate pH. If adding chemicals makes you change water less often, because it makes water changes tedious or complicated, then the manipulation is not worth the effort.
Frequent water changes with normal tap water will do much more for the fishes health than slight pH adjustment.

..... and 88F is far too warm for midas. 78F is more ideal for a year round temp.
