What exactly does an F0 look like?

As long as Ive kept fish, Id say its 100% impossible to tell an F0 from an F3, F5 etc.

It's hard to describe unless you have kept many Midas and see the slight differences that for some reason they get. Red Devils for example in captivity lips shrink between F1-F2 for whatever reason. If you look on my thread with my Midas you can see a difference between the F1 Parents and Their F2 Son. Build, coloration, and snout all look slightly different. My F1 Pair have cat like eyes while their son doesen't.

Another good refrence would be to look at Jeff Rapp's Midas on his thread and then look at some of the F1 and F2's people have here. You'll see coloration and build difference.

Now what I ment when I said that his fish looked F2 was due to his coloration and his snout. As round/flat as it is looks very F0, but most likely F1. Same with the female's slightly Piebald look. Anyway, great pair.
